Bernie Parent Biography

Former Philadelphia Flyers superstar goaltender Bernie Parent posted arguably the most dominant consecutive seasons by a goalie during the 1973-74 and 1974-75 seasons, helping the Flyers win back-to-back Stanley Cup championships while earning the Vezina Trophy and Conn Smythe Trophy in both seasons. Parent was a 5x All-Star who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984. Bernie Parent remains a Philadelphia fan favorite and is known to sign Philadelphia Flyers pucks, jerseys, and photos, often accompanied by inscriptions such as HOF 84, 5x All Star, 2x SC champs. Parents #1 jersey was retired by the Flyers and he was a 2004 inductee into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame, maintaining his iconic stature in Philadelphia even after more than three decades since his retirement.
