Regarded as the greatest leadoff hitter in MLB history, Rickey Henderson was elected as a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2009 and holds major league records for career stolen bases, runs scored, unintentional walks, and leadoff home runs. Rickey Henderson played for nine MLB teams from 1979-2003, including four stints with his original team, the Oakland Athletics. Henderson was the 1990 AL MVP, a 10x All-Star, a Gold Glove winner and member of the two World Series championship teams (1989 and 1993). Henderson holds the single-season stolen bases record, with 130 in 1982 with the Oakland A?s, and is the only player in AL history to steal 100 bases in a season, doing so three times in his 25-year career.
