Vermont Overview

Vermont does not have any major professional or college teams to stake claim to. The Vermont Catamounts basketball team has done well in recent years at competing at a high level and even making it to the NCAA tournament. The Catamounts famously upset Syracuse University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2005. Vermont has produced some great athletes throughout the years. Andrea Mead Lawrence Rutland, Billy Kidd Stowe and Bill Koch are all past Olympic gold medal winners.
